Synopsis) A social media poster boy and his final moments on Everest.

In May 2018, 35-year-old mountaineer Nobukazu Kuriki died during a failed attempt to climb Mount Everest. He was a controversial figure, who conquered the highest peaks on seven continents and posted his «selfie» adventures on social media. While Kuriki had ardent fans, experts called his climbs reckless, and comments for and against his posts frequently deteriorated into uncontrollable online hostility. What drove Kuriki to keep climbing despite great risks? This program delves into the young man’s journey using the vast archive of videos he left behind.
